I have been trying to work out how to enable usage of ProRes codecs in CS6 with no luck. I previously worked on my past employers Macbook Pro where I was able to import ProRes footage into the timeline under correct/matched sequence settings as well as export to any ProRes format I desired. I have most recently been working with 16mm, so the rushes from telecine come back as ProRes 4444 files. The workflow was perfect. The solutions I have seen are to download the codecs from Apple and import them into AME which I've now installed, but these are only 422 and I can only export. Having Final Cut or Compressor is also essential, I have both with the latest versions installed. Nothing's changed.

From memory, the previous Macbook Pro had FCP7 instead of X. Could this be the solution? I never had to download anything extra, everything just worked out. I know this is probably a repeated thread, any help would be greatly appreciated!
