Kenwood Kvt-614 Firmware Update
: You cannot connect iPod as a source. ・Check your iPod/iPhone.
Jul 24, 2013 Hey Guys, So I have a 2009 Toyota Venza into which I installed a Kenwood KVT-614 DVD Receiver, Kenwood KNA-G510 GPS Unit and Kenwood.
The connectable model depends on the generation. Check with your manufacturer for the generation of your iPod/iPhone. ・iPod/iPhone may not be available in certain market. ・ Compatibility with iOS 4 to be announced. Confirmed that the iPhone/iPod operates unsteadily; for example, it is not detected when it is connected to AUDIO receiver or Navigation/Multimedia receiver after its OS has been updated to iOS 4.
(Powering the iPhone/iPod off and on again or resetting it may solve the problem.) As soon as verification is over, will provide connection information. Common notes ・Before connecting KCA-iP500 to KENWOOD control unit, please make sure your iPod's software is updated to the latest version which are possible to download from APPLE OFFICIAL WEBSITE. If the software is not updated,connection problem with KCA-iP500 may happen, and the Control unit may not properly playback music files from your iPod. ・Data information is dependant on the Head Unit display capability. ・Depending on the connected control unit, source name may be displayed 'EXT-MEDIA', '.-MEDIA' or CD Changer ('CD-CH'etc.). Please see the manual of the control unit. ・DNPS function of the control unit cannot be operated with KCA-iP500.
(Please see the manual of the control unit about the DNPS (Disc Name PreSet) function.) ・After connecting your iPod to the KCA-iP500, the first track played will be the track you played last with your iPod,and 'RESUMING'will be displayed while playback, since the title number and title name can not be displayed correctly. When browsing item or title is changed, the first track selected will be automatically recongnized as track number 1,disc number1 in the Playlist,and correct title number and name will be displayed. Remark. Be sure to update the KENWOOD unit to the latest firmware. (February 15, 2010). 1HD Radio broadcast is available only in the USA and some countries. 1HD Radio and SiriusXM broadcast is available only in the USA and some countries. KTC-HR300 (optional) is necessary to receive HD Radio broadcast.
It works when KCA-iP22F/ KCA-iP240V is used for connection. It works when KCA-iP301V is used for connection. SXV-100/200 (optional) is necessary to receive SiriusXM broadcast.
SiriusXM broadcast is available only in the USA and some countries. If the iOS software is upgraded to iOS 4.1, the Songs list is not displayed. If the iOS software is upgraded to iOS 4.1, resume play may be disabled. If the iOS software is upgraded to iOS 5.0, resume play may be disabled. ・ Be sure to update the KENWOOD unit to the latest firmware.
