This little knife has quickly become my favorite small EDC fixed blade. Everything about this knife is executed perfectly from the leather sheath to the choice of handle material. I thought it was going to be extremely hard to find another fixed blade that would out preform the Spyderco Street Beat but to my surprise Benchmade has stepped up to the plate with the 211.

The Benchmade 211 has a healthy balance of character and functionality that is perfect for an every day carry knife. The black leather sheath offsets the beautiful winewood grips to give it a gentlemen's style look. The use of D2 as the blade steel demonstrates that this knife is not only a looker but a user as well. D2 is a great hard use steel that will take a beating and then some. I used this knife for many hard chores and it preformed them all with ease. Sharpness from the factory was not up to par with Benchmade standards but after a quick touch up the knife went to work cutting through many boxes of cardboard and paper.

Overall I give this little knife high marks for both looks and function. I have been extremely pleased with the 211 and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a small EDC fixed blade that is not afraid to get down to business.
